Thorpe Hamlet

Thorpe Hamlet is a characterful residential area on the hilly ground just east of Norwich city centre, in the NR1 postcode, between the river and Mousehold Heath. It is one of the greenest inner suburbs in the city, home to the ancient woodland of Lion Wood and the historic Rosary Cemetery - the oldest nonconformist cemetery in England - both of which are rich in mature and veteran trees, alongside the leafy Victorian streets that climb the hillside.
