Mancroft

Mancroft is the historic centre of Norwich, the ward that takes its name from St Peter Mancroft, the great medieval church that looks out over Norwich Market. Covering the area around the market, the castle and the main shopping streets in NR2, it is the civic and commercial core of the city rather than a leafy suburb, but trees still play an important role here in churchyards, small public gardens, courtyards and the grounds of commercial premises.
